Canonical error on homepage only
-
Hi Guys,
We are having problems with the canonical tag on our homepage pagination. The plugin sets the canonical link to our homepage no matter what page we are on. i.e.
when we are on .https://ourhomepage.com/page/6/
it still sets <link rel=”canonical” href=”https://ourhomepage.com/” />
instead of <link rel=”canonical” href=”https://ourhomepage.com/page/6/” />Also, it doesn’t set the <link rel=”prev” href=”https://ourhomepage.com/page/5/” />
or <link rel=”next” href=”https://ourhomepage.com/category/page/7/” />
at all. They are completely missing. It works perfectly for pagination on our categories. Just not on our homepage pagination. Our site is using a static page front page created with the themes’s page composer.
Has anyone come across this issue or can help with a fix?
