cannot write new post after wordpress install

hello,

I need some help to get me started.

I have installed wp into

while testing, the site looks ok but I cannot post from my admin.

after I clicked on “write Post”, I can type in title but can never type in anything in the post box. I also cannot add category.

Can someone advise what’s wrong and how do I remedy this?
