    Hello,

I’m trying to upload a logo to my header, at which point I’m given a crop window for a tiny part of it. I don’t understand this: I designed in power point, resized in GIMP (to 230/207 pixels).

I even uploaded it to the media library to see if that would make a difference (Ah! Logo). What’s going on please?

    Many thanks for reading this

    Diane

    Hi jen, thanks

    Here it is: https://www.acornhats.co.uk/about-2/
Do you see how the logo, which is in the main page (I’m also currently trying to find its class attribute so I can hide its border :/)
has downloaded massive in the header?

    Many thanks

    Diane

The size of your image needs to be adjusted to fit the header image size. The twenty thirteen theme default size for the header is 1600px wide and 230px high. I hope that helps.

Hello, thanks for this Jenny, but I have rescaled my image: I just checked!

It looks like the image that you uploaded to the header is 300px x 224px which would account for the pixelization and the odd cropping.

Thanks for this Jenny, but that’s not what I’m seeing: I’ve gone through the process again, and even when the height is 230, and in proportion with the width, I’m asked to crop it

    :/

Can you send me a link to the image you are uploading? I am just curious now to why it’s not working for you.

Hi Jenny, well I uploaded the picture again, which I’ve checked has been proportionally scaled to 230 height, and you can see again

I’m wondering if the computer is reading the formatting from powerpoint, since that’s where I created the image?

I’m also trying to find the class of the logo (the second picture on the about page) so that I can hide its border if you can help with that :/

The image has to be exactly proportional to the header size. In order to do this and see the entire graphic that you are using there would need to be white space added to the image to fit the header container.

As for the removing borders from images, maybe this thread will help…

    Hi Jen,

Thanks, that worked a treat – see how much better the site looks here: https://www.acornhats.co.uk/

    It looks great!
