Cannot use — plugin incompatibility issues

    I’ve always lamented the lack of line numbers in the theme and plugin editors, so I thought I would give Better Code Editor a try. The plugin works, but for some strange reason, it prevents the Admin Menu Editor screen from loading. I have tested the AME screen several times, alternately activating and deactivating Better Code Editor. AME works fine regardless of whether BCE is active or inactive, but when BCE is active, the AME screen won’t load (though the customizations are preserved).

    I would very much like to use this plugin, but the Admin Menu Editor is more useful to me, so hopefully this can be resolved, otherwise I will have to forget about BCE ??

    I think AME is the reason of this problem.

    That is the most unhelpful response ever. Considering that AME works with every single other plugin I’ve ever tried (probably around 100!) and that it only breaks when this plugin is active, I’m sure BCE is the real problem. I have deleted this plugin and am continuing to use AME.

    Hi Nazmul,

    I just noticed this review, which was posted shortly after I opened this support thread. So it seems that I’m not the only one having compatibility issues. Your plugin works well, but it doesn’t play nice with other plugins. The review points out that the problem is with BCE using an old version of jQuery. I really hope that now that you’re aware of the issue, you’ll work on resolving it.

    I would really love to use this plugin!! Thanks.

    I have installed on three sites and it works well, except on a Genesis sute using Attitude Pro. Really hope it is fixed soon.
