• Hi,

I’m experiencing a couple of issues with my website. I have a main domain, perdiendoelrumbo.com, and an English version of the site in a subfolder (perdiendoelrumbo.com/en/).

The English site is functioning fine, but I’m encountering two problems with the main domain:

    1. I’m unable to upload webp images. Whenever I try, I receive a message stating that I don’t have the necessary permissions. Even though Hostinger has changed the permissions and I should be allowed to upload webp images, the issue persists.
    2. In the dashboard of my subfolder (perdiendoelrumbo.com/en/), under “Appearance,” I can see the option for “Theme File Editor.” However, this option is not visible in the dashboard of my main domain.

I’m unsure if these two issues are related to each other.

Thank you very much for your help!

  • What is your user role on each of the sites (main and subdomain)? It sounds like your user roles may be different, and you don’t have the capabilities within WordPress to upload the .webp image. That would also explain why one site has a ‘Theme File Editor’ and another doesn’t. Go to the users page and double check that you are an admin, on both sites.
