Cannot upload Theme's

  • My site was upgraded from 3.9 something to 4.2.2

    And now when I click on the Appearance/Themes/Add New

    It’s blank i have a banner and nothing else

    wp-admin/theme-install.php

    When I click on upload theme it returns to

    wp-admin/theme-install.php#

    try MANUAL updating. Download a fresh copy of the WordPress .zip file (4.2.2) to your computer, unzip it, and use that to copy up all files and folders EXCEPT the wp-config.php file and the /wp-content/ directory. You may need to delete the old copies of files & folder on your server before uploading the new ones. Read the Manual Update directions first.
