Cannot upload pictures i WP 3.8

    After updating to WP 3.8 I am no longer able to upload pictures, apparently uploading goes on, but ends with Error, something went wrong, try later.
    I have tried to erase all plugins and erase cache, did not help. Have changed theme from twenty twelve to twenty fourteen with and without plugins, still the same.

    Plugins: Akismet 2.5.9, Comment Guestbook 0.5.0, IP Blacklist Cloud 3.1, UPdraftPlus – Backup/restore 1.8.2

    I have searched the web and relevant treads, and tried, and tried..

    Schould i start all over?

    Could be a permission issue.
    – Check that anti-hotlinking of images isn’t enabled in your hosting account. If it is, try disabling it.
    – Check your uploads path
    – Try changing the permissions on the wp-content directory to 766. If you still have problems, try 767, 775 or 777.
    Once your uploads are working, change the permissions on wp-content back to 755 again (very important for security reasons!) and check that everything still works OK.

    Meanwhile I have identified the problem. In desperation I tried to upload a picture from older files – and it did!
    So the problem is about the picture files, and I have an idea about that Windows took over the download from the camera instead of the camera program – and it happened to be at the same time as upgrading WP

    – don’t beleave in anything you hear, and only half of what you see!
