Cannot upload media or update program

    I have been searching the forums on different ideas to help me with this issue, but so far none of the suggestions have worked…

    At the top of the screen, a message stating “An automated WordPress update has failed to complete – please attempt the update again now.” is is always present. I have tried reloading the program, downloading it, deactivate/activate the plug-ins.

    I’m not sure if this is related to the uploading error — but I am not able to upload any media. When I click on the upload button, nothing happens. This is the case for the Help button too.

    I am using theme1412 by Template_Help.com

    (sorry if this is confusing, I am a website novice)

    Have you tried:

    1. deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    2. switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    3. running the upgrade.
