cannot upload media

  • I am trying every possible way to upload media but every time shows this massage
    ‘failed to upload due to an error’
    Unable to create directory /home/u479830056/public_html/wp-content/uploads. Is its parent directory writable by the server?

    how to solve it.. please help me.

  • The server can’t write to the /wp-content directory because of permissions or ownership problems. Try temporarily making the /wp-content folder writable then re-try the upload. Change the permissions back on the /wp-content folder after wordpress creates the uploads directory.
