    Hello,

I just donwloaded the plugin. Busy creating my first property listing. However, when I come to “Media” and then click on “Add Photos” it jumps right back to Edit Property – summary

This also happens when I press “Add Feautures” in “Descriptions” or any other button.

My server is setup well, I have disabled all other plugins, it is a fresh install on the newest WordPress. Only thing I changed is the .php page containing the countries (addes 1 country in the list).

What can be the problem ? I edit my wordpress via the newest Firefox browser on windows 10.

    Good morning.

Thanks for getting in touch. I’ve just tried exactly the same thing (FireFox on Windows 10) and it worked without issue.

It sounds like it’s definitely a JavaScript error. Can I ask you to do one thing for me?

    1. Hit F12 on your keyboard to open the developer tools
    2. Click the ‘Console’ tab.

Are there are any red errors listed there? And if so, can you tell me the error?

We’ll take it from there ?? If it’s possible to get access to WordPress please feel free to send the login details through to [email protected] and we’ll gladly log in and take a look ourselves ASAP.

    Hope that helps,

    Steve

    Hello Steve,

thank you for your fast reply. I have hit F12 and checked the console, no errors there. The flag “errors” at JS is on.

I doublechecked in Firefox if Javascript was activated and whether my pc had the latest Java updates and both are newest. Just to be sure it was not a firefox problem I also tested on Chrome with the same result. So if it is browser related it possibly has something to do with my laptop configuration.

However, to be sure it is not in the installation of WP I shall email you my login to have a look.

    Hi Martin,

All sorted. It was because your site was served over HTTPS and one of the files used by Property Hive was hardcoded to be served over HTTP.

I’ve updated the plugin used on your site and can confirm it’s now all working.

    Many thanks,
    Steve

    Thanks a lot Steve !

    It does work indeed.

But to exclude misinterpretation: you modified “my” file, and not update the plugin as a whole ?

If so, why not ? Since Google almost demands a https for the search results this might be an important issue for all your plugin users.

To confirm, I’ve updated the core plugin, then updated your version of the plugin used on the site so everyone will benefit from the change.
