When AIOWPS is activated I’m having trouble uploading files to the media library. On completion of the upload I get the error:

Unexpected response from the server. The file may have been uploaded successfully. Check in the Media Library or reload the page.

If I deactivate AIOWPS I can upload the same file with no problem. I suspect it’s due to some Firewall setting in the .htaccess, but I’m not sure about that.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • firewall > basic firewall > max upload file size

Don’t think it’s related to size, I have a similar issue however mine is with plugins, trying to upload a zip which is only around 3MB and when I click Upload I get a 404, my max file upload size is 64mb.

If you open your browser’s development tools and go to the Network tab, and then try the upload, then in the network tab you can see what the server response was…. what is it?

The file in question is 26,8Mb, so you’re probably right in assuming that the error is not related to size.

    async-upload.php
    – Statuscode: 413
    – Server: nginx

Does that help or do you need more information?

    Rightyho, here we go:

firewall > basic firewall > max upload file size

Apparently this was the reason. This option was set to 10(!) Mb, and my file was 26,8Mb.

So I changed the option to 150Mb (which is the value mentioned on the Upload page), and now there was no error.

So my problem probably is solved, but PLEASE change the default to a realistic value. 10Mb. Tss. This is not the 90s any more ??

I’ll mark this thread as solved as the file now uploaded without error.
