    Hi
    I have an unlimited hosting account with crazydomains.com.au and I installed a premium theme avada. I have only loaded a few pages with content, and the images folder can only have a few little KB pics in it, but my system message has come up -when I tried to upload a file only 100KBs in total size, the message said:
    this jpg exceeds the maximum file size for this site.
    Now let me point out I was not trying to upload a huge image like a couple of MBs in size, I am talking about 100KBs in size, is already exceeding the upload to the site.
    i have contacted the helpdesk for the hosters and they havent got a clue how to fix it. They tried to get me to add coding to php.ini to allow max file upload to 10MB, but this made no difference whatsover, in fact it is not about trying to upload a large image, it is the fact that there is no more room on the whole of the site.
    Any ideas anyone, thanks in advance.

  • Can you SFTP into your account and upload anything in MBs?

    ah, could try that,if I could get in, but here’s the thing, I cant get into FTP or the cPanel, the helpdesk at crazy domains take a week to answer emails, and I had already asked for a password reset; before the issue of the site exceeding space, So weirdly, their password didnt work, so just waiting for another password so I can get in. ??

    Sorry to know what you’ve been going through. ??

    Hi here we are a week later and the hosting co, can still not fix the simple error preventing me from adding content to the admin media section. Luckily I had a password reset, can get into the cpanel, can upload files to folders in FTP, but when in dashboard of Upload Media it returns a message:
    Sorry, you have used all of your storage quota of 10 MB.

    I was advised to put this in php.ini
    upload_max_filesize = 32M
    memory_limit = 512M

    But it didnt change the outcome, its still not working. I cleared my cache too.
    Has anyone ever found this problem before and knows how to solve it?

    That message is part of a normal multi-site (Network) installation where the super admin has set that file size limit on your sub-site. The fix for this is to get who ever has super-admin access to set a higher value then 10MB for your storage quota.

    Absolutely fab, thank you for that!!! I went into my network admin dashboard settings, at the bottom, it has a field for setting file uploads. it was nothing to do with the php.ini! I shall enlighten the hosters!
    Cheers again.
