Cannot update to WordPress 4.8

  • I am currently running 4.75 with Twenty Thirteen Child theme. The website is integrityauctions.biz. The wordpress files are located in a sub-directory named integrityauction & the domain points to the sub-directory. I originally tried to update to 4.8 & it failed. I disabled all plug-ins, still failed. Now, all plug-ins (6) need updating, theme needs updating & WordPress needs updating.

    Never had an issue like this before.

    This client has a big auction this weekend, so I don’t want to do anything to the site before it is completed. I just need to be ready to work on this next week.

    – If your server does not allow auto updating, try MANUALLY updating. Download a fresh copy of the WordPress .zip file to your computer, unzip it, and use that to copy up all files and folders EXCEPT the wp-config.php file and the /wp-content/ directory. You may need to delete the old wp-admin and wp-includes folders and files on your server before uploading the new ones. Please read the Manual Update directions first.
