    Hello There,

    I’ve been trying to update the plugin to version 5.11 for almost a week and I keep getting the same message: “Update failed: No connection or server is busy. Please try again later.”

    I get this message only when I try to update the events calendar, one other plugin and the theme DIVI.

    Can anyone help me with that? I do not have the knowledge to update via FTP and I am not sure if it is safe to do that. And also the site server says the problem is not with them.

    I would really appreciate if anyone could help me. Thanks!

    Thank you for reaching out.

    It’s always best if you are able to do a backup of your site before trying anything (Updraft Plus is a good free plugin to do so).

    With that in mind, you should be able to simply delete The Events Calendar plugin and re-install it manually without losing any data.

    Manual installs are a good workaround, but you probably want to see if there isn’t something blocking updates (a firewall or security plugin).
