    Sounds like something is blocking the install. You can try a few things:

    – Disable the plugin and then try the upgrade
    – Disable and remove the plugin and then try re-installing it
    – Disable the plugin and then manually upgrade by downloading the plugin manually and copying the files to your web server via ftp or sftp.

    I preferred your 3rd suggestion do it manually and that worked fine. Maybe a timelimit on our server hindered the normal update as 13.6 MB is quite a lot.
    Anyway many thanks for your prompt reply and good help.
