Cannot Update to 3.2 on Media Temple!

Seems you need to get your host involved, check out this facebook link with video from (mt).

Older clusters on (mt) may be getting the attention they need according to this maintenance update.

I find same think so I highly recommend Update again

I got the same problem!
Updated to PHP 5 all my sites on MT, but MySQL is: Server version: 4.1.25-Debian_mt1

I found this article from MT to update MySQL to version 5:

But it’s ridiculous how you they mention an “upgrade tool” without telling you where to find it: “The upgrade from MySQL 4.x to 5.x is very easy with the (mt) provided tools, but that doesn’t mean you should just run the tool.”

Also, they say it’s safer to “Open a new (gs) Grid-Service; all new sites include MySQL 5.” but should we BUY a new service and than transfer all our sites? What kind of info is that? You don’t understand a thing!

Maybe it’s just me, but this is awful management from MediaTemple, really!

Don’t know if THAT helps…

For other Media Temple users, just give them a call. They are familiar with the problem and will take care of it. It took around 10 minutes for the call and I was told to expect an upgrade within the next several hours (although I’ve seen others report faster results).

I am having a similar issue! I am trying to update to wordpress 3.3.1 and it keeps telling me I have MySQL 4.1.11! I have contacted my host (gate.com) numberous times and they say this is a wordpress issue and not a host issue. Help!

edit – I should add my hosts says I am running 5.1.52-1 version of MySQL.

Nevermind…finally figured out my problem. the ip address in my wp-config.php file was incorrect.
