Cannot Update Pages

    Not sure when this started, but I can no longer edit pages in wordpress.

    1. If I make edits, then click “update” button, the progress indicator just spins in perpetuity and does not return any error.

    2. If I click on “edit” for a page visibility, I am just retuned to the top of the page. I am not presented with choices to change the visibility of a page.

    Ideas?

  • See in the browser console, it’ll show any errors there. Press CTRL+Shift+I, then switch to the console tab in the panel that shows up, now click on Update and see in the console.

    Update your PHP and WP version then check. Hope that would work.

    This may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and switch to the default Twenty Twenty-One theme. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of the problem.

    If you can install plugins, install Health Check. On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site.
