Cannot update EME plugin

    We are running WordPress 5.4.2 and PHP 7.0. We are using the EME plugin and I cannot upgrade it because without upgrading PHP. When I upgrade to PHP 7.2 the website will not work. I get the critical error message.

    If I disable the EME plugin and then upgrade to PHP 7.2 the website works fine however the WordPress admin will not load. Instead I get the same critical error message.

    Is there a way to upgrade the plugin via FTP?
