Cannot update admin email

  • Hello,

    I am trying to update the admin email address. In the General / Settings area I see There is a pending change of the admin email to ‘new email address’ message.

    I receive the email and link but upon clicking the link it just redirects me to my website and no update occurs. The email is not updated to the new one in the “Administration Email Address”.

    Is there anything else I could try?

    An alternative way to change the admin email is to make the change in your webhosting account directly in the database connected to your website in the OPTIONS table. Often the database is located in an area of your webhosting account labeled PHPMYADMIN. Edit the row of the OPTIONS table corresponding to admin_email
