Cannot Uncheck Coming Soon Badge

    When I create a new product and save it in draft mode the ” Show Coming Soon badge” is checked. But no matter what state the product set to after that I cannot uncheck it as it becomes re-checked after updating or publishing…

    This makes it impossible to add product to our store while your plugin is active. ??

    Hi! Can’t reproduce the issue.

    Can do you give me some info about your site:
    – WordPress version
    – WooCommerce version
    – Coming Soon version (please, check you’ve the last, now is 1.0.2)
    – Your timezone settings (on Settings > General)

    All software is kept up to date at all times.
    The timezone setting is currently: Los Angeles

    If this flags a custom field in the product I can manually try to set that field as a workaround until we fix this.

    BTW – I am using the Storefront Pro theme

    Since you asked about the time zone, which is an odd thing for troubleshooting, I figured that you have a suspicion as to that being the issue. I tried setting it to a UTC offset and it started to work as expected.

    So there is some bug in your code when setting times based on location (which is necessary here in the states because we still use daylight savings time like savages….

    Hi, @coldrealms65, good news!

    When I setup timezone as Los Angeles the bug occurs for me as you described. I hope we can solve the isue within the next 24h with an update.

    If you can’t wait:

    The plugin uses a post meta on each product: _coming_soon_wc_arrival

    …you can put on it: 0000-00-00 00:00:00 through phpmyadmin and the badge should disappear.

    So some products are stuck still being unable to remove the badge despite the time setting. I set the custom field but had no effect ??

    I am able to work past it using these steps:
    Set product to publish at a future time (a minute works).
    After the product publishes uncheck the coming soon badge and update.

    Until the code is stabilized might want to remove all ties to timed removal of the coming soon badge and rely solely on a manual unchecking. Additionally, the checkbox should be added to the quick edit options.
