    Hi,

I am having a problem with a contact form I created using Advanced Forms.

It seems that the form will not submit and I am not getting the confirmation text that should replace the form. In the admin, there is no entry either.

The strange point though is when I have it installed on my development server (Laragon) then it works fine, but I just can’t work out what is different.

If you have any ideas it would be greatly appreciated.

    Regards

    Paul

    Hi, Paul!

Issues like these are very often caused by caching. It could be that your host has a built-in caching solution that is applied to the form page. I would recommend adding an exclusion rule for the pages containing forms and see if that fixes the issue.

    Hi Fabian,

Thanks for getting back to me, sorry I just saw a few other people are having similar problems.

I am not running any caching plugins but I do have Nginx running on the server. I have tried disabling it but it has not made any difference.

Is there anything else I should try?

    Regards

    Paul

    Hi Fabian,

I spoke to the hosting company and it turned out that PHP was being handled by Nginx which was breaking Apache and so not using the .htaccess files. Once it was reverted back it fixed the issue.

    Thanks for your help.
