Cannot share on Facebook and Instagram

Correction:

I have now disconnected and reconnected Facebook/Instagram/Tumblr.

With a blog post scheduled, the post was also posted to Tumblr tonight!

Not, however, in Facebook and Instagram. Whereas I’m undecided about Instagram anyway, when I connect it only offers me my Facebook profile, but not the Instagram account.

I’m sorry for the delay here in our response. We currently have a backlog of support requests, and we’re working through them as quickly as possible.

I looked at your recent posts and noticed a few things:

Your site doesn’t currently have a connected Instagram account. To share to Instagram, you will need to connect an account.

On your most recent post, I see an error:

Determined that this facebook connection has been marked as skipped for this post.

You mentioned that you disconnected and then reconnected your Facebook account. When you did that, did you have posts scheduled? Was your most recent post scheduled?

If so this is a bug that our development team is working to fix. For now, please:

• Switch any scheduled posts back to draft
• Delete the connection you want to share to and then add it back again.
• Switch the status of the posts from draft to scheduled again

Your scheduled posts should then be shared to Facebook when they are published.

Let us know how it goes.

Performed as per your recommendation yesterday:

Connection to Facebook page and Instagram account disconnected.

Posts set to “Draft”.

Reconnected to Facebook page and Instagram account.

Set posts to “Planned”.

A scheduled post was posted at 0:00 today.

No post published to Facebook page and no photo published to Instagram account.

Thus failure.

It works. The posts directly posted and the scheduled posts. In Facebook, Tumblr and Instagram.

You might also be interested in our Jetpack Social Basic or Advanced plans which give you more shares per month and features not included in the free version of Jetpack Social.

Unfortunately, the problem is not yet solved.

The last two posts were published, Facebook, Instagram, Tumblr. One published directly, the other scheduled.

However, the post scheduled tonight at 0 o’clock was not published again on any of the channels. By the way, not even on Twitter (other app).

Hi @thobie , the last two recent post did not get shared because the blog was over the sharing limit. By default, the plugins allows you to do 30 shares over a period of 30 days. If you’d like to share without any limits, you may want to consider getting a Social Basic or Advanced plans.
