    Hi there,

I just installed the plugin. After defining conditions for a new rule and hitting the “Add” button I am thrown out of the process and I find myself on the wp-admin page.

    What can I do ?
    Thanks for help!
    Martin

    Hi @lordloadalot,

Sorry to hear you’re having issues. That shouldn’t happen.

Can you try and check if you’re seeing any console errors when saving a rule?

Please right-click on any part of your browser and hit ‘Inspect’, go to the Console tab and see if any errors are thrown while creating a restriction rule.

Can you also try deactivating other plugins except for Content Control and switch to a default theme then create a rule again? If it works then, activate your plugins one by one to see which plugin is causing the conflict.

Let us know how it goes.

    Hi @lordloadalot

Thank you for taking the time to record the issue.

There’s seems a possible theme or plugin conflict and affects Content Control plugin.

There’s already an error when you load the Content Control Settings dashboard. It did not show the full path where the error is occurring, but you can hover the truendo-admin.js on the browser console.

Selecting the Add a Restriction button also showed another error for WordPress editor jQuery. Kindly hover the settings-page.min.js, and page.min.js to get the full path of the link.

On the other hand, the Protection tab is showing differently. Here’s what the Protection tab looks when there is no conflict:

Could you try the below troubleshooting steps?

    • Update WordPress version to v6.0.3
    • Switch the theme to WordPress Twenty Twenty-Two
    • Deactivate all plugins except for Content Control
    • One by one activate the plugins until it shows the console error

Let us know how that goes.

    Thank you!
