    Hello moritzllm (@moritzllm),

Can you go to the Chatbot Settings, then click on the Messages tab. If everything is functioning correctly, the status message should read:

API STATUS:?Success: Connection to the OpenAI API was successful!

If not, there may be a problem with your API key. If which case, go to the API Model tab and enter your API Key.

When you add your API key, it will be displayed as dots, don’t forget to click Save Settings.

Once you’ve done that, then go back and see if you can interact with the chatbot.

hello @kognetiks thanks for your reply. Yes the API is successfully setup.
I use infinityfree for now probably that’s the issue? There are multiple errors I found: the send and trash button in the frontend don’t work I cannot Klick send or delete the message, in the settings in can only select the colours with the hex code (not visually) and the Example input in the text field is old (I replaced it the assistant settings but it is still the old one)

    Hello moritzllm (@moritzllm),

Is the page the chatbot is on public? If so, can you share a link to it? If not here, you can send it me privately to support at kognetiks dot com. Then I can look at the page and see what’s going on.

Also, can you confirm that you added the chatbot as a SHORTCODE (not CODE) option. Sometimes, these two functions are confused.

    Hey @kognetiks ,

    The link is: https://testetesi.rf.gd/elementor-10/

Deleted all plugins exept Elementor (and the chatbot of course).

Shortcode Block is selected and the shortcode is [chatbot-1]
Thanks for looking into it ??

    Hello moritzllm (@moritzllm),

It looks like something went wrong when Elementor created the page and inserted the shortcode widget.

I created a simple page as illustrated below.

I used the most basic shortcode for the chatbot:

    [chatbot style=embedded]

On the advanced tab, I made no changes, left all the values blank for this test.

    Here is the result:

You might want to review this help text for using the shortcode-widget.

    https://elementor.com/help/shortcode-widget/

You might also want to start with a fresh, blank page.

And see how it goes from there.

Let me know if you have questions.
