• Hey,

I would like to send Mails with my WordPress site (Version 5) using Contact Form. I am using the WP Mail SMTP-Plugin and I can send a test mail. But if I want to use your Contact Form-Plugin, every time there is an error because my input is “spam”, but it is no spam! Would you like to help me? Do you have any idea?

    Greetings

  • Is the error border color orange or red?

An orange error border indicates reCAPTCHA v3 is not working correctly on your site.

You may see this error if you’ve:

    • previously used reCAPTCHA v2 with CF7
    • updated to CF7 5.1.1 or newer and
    • not changed your previous reCAPTCHA v2 keys to reCAPTCHA v3 keys at Contact > Integration.

It is orange. I created a new recaptcha V3 but it also doesn’t work.. What do you mean with CF7 5.1.1? My WordPress version is actually 5.1.1

What do you mean with CF7 5.1.1

I’m referring to the current version of the Contact Form 7 plugin. Both WordPress & each plugin you use have version numbers.

The orange error border indicates reCAPTCHA v3 is not working correctly on your site.

If you’ve registered correctly for reCAPTCHA v3 (by following the instructions at reCAPTCHA v3) & it’s working, you should now see the reCAPTCHA Privacy badge displayed at the bottom of every page on your site (not just the pages where you’ve got CF7 forms).

If the reCAPTCHA badge is not showing, this shows that reCAPTCHA v3 is not working on your site.

See List of answers to issues with adding reCAPTCHA v3 to Contact Form 7 which covers this topic in detail (disclosure I’m the author of this article).
