Cannot see widget in the admin panel

  • When I click on widgets i cannot see the sidebar (where we normally add and remove widgets)

    Appearance
    > Themes
    > Widgets

    I am not sure since when they are missing..since I normally don’t change much there…it probably surfaced after a WP upgrade..

    I tried switching back to the default theme twentyten but was still facing the same issue…also went through the forum…
    one of which had a step to edit the database…tried that but now my sidebar has all the default stuff…I am unable to fix the problem…

    Is anybody else facing this issue??
    Has somebody found a solution to this problem? Please help.
