Cannot see 'Visual' tab text

This plugin was exactly what I needed, but unfortunately I can’t use it. At first, I thought the plugin was broken since I could see html in the ‘Text’ tab but when swapping to the ‘Visual’ tab there was none. Then by accident, I noticed that highlighting the visual tab’s editor I could see the text in there when highlighted – so it’s white text on a white background. I tried installing this on another site to see if it was just the theme’s CSS messing with the plugin but it has the same problem on every site.
I needed this so that my client could edit a widget without needing to know HTML, but if he can’t see the text in the visual tab then what’s the point?
Is this a bug?
