Cannot see the “trash” link on the posts page

  • When I’m logged into my wordpress site and I’m on my posts page, I can see along the top of the page the following options:
    All (506) | Mine (3) | Published (503) | Drafts (3)

    But there should also be an option for Trash (0), but I don’t have it. I accidentally trashed a post and I need to retrieve it. How do I do that?
