can anyone help with getting jetpack comments to work with this theme? currently it seems that the default comments are on (as i only get the option to login and post via wordpress, not facebook/twitter) even though the comments module is activated in jetpack

the jetpack website says if the theme is not using the “comment_form()” funtion, jetpack comments will not work

    any ideas?

  • Jetpack Comments work fine with Mantra. I use it on two sites with the theme.

Make sure the feature is turned on in Jetpack, and you can also temporarily switch to a different theme just to make sure it actually works or not.

Posting to facebook/twitter is separate functionality from comments. Don’t mix them up.

strange.. the only option i get when it says ‘You must log in to post a comment’ is to login with a wordpress account… no facebook or twiiter!

You meant logging in with facebook/twitter, not posting to… okay. Ignore my last sentence before.

Did you test with Twenty-something to see if the comment form changes?

    sorry for the confusion..

    just to clarify:
the same thing happens in twentyeleven
    ??

Then JetPack would be the place to ask – looks like you’ve already done so –

You should post a link to your site in that thread.

fixed it… i had to disable ‘Users must be registered and logged in to comment’ to see the facebook and twitter login options

is this normal? will it attract spam?
