Beginner alert! I had thought that I could directly add this image widget to a page I was working on. When I went to insert a widget, I saw only the WordPress image widgets, which do not have the ability to directly insert links. I verified that I had installed the widget and activated it. What am I doing wrong?

Is the name of this widget ALSO image widget? If not, what should I be looking for?

Or is this widget somehow only available in sidebars, which I am not using on this page?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi there,

The default WordPress image widget will show up as “Image” while the widget from this plugin will show as “Image Widget”. This will contain fields for adding a link url among other things.

This will be available in the WordPress > Appearance > Widgets page to add to sidebar areas. If you are trying to add this widget via the gutenberg interface, this is not supported. Otherwise, if you are using a page builder plugin that allows adding widgets, it may also not be supported.

    Hope that helps!
