Cannot see GPX route on map

    Hello!
    I am quite new to this and trying to upload a hiking route to my website. I have followed the guide and managed to start by getting the standard [osmap] to show. I can also get it to show when putting the ‘centre’ code in with grid reference. However, when I try to add a GPXfile it is not showing on the map. It is sometimes showing underneath as’download gpx’ but not on the map itself it is just showing southampton. Is anyone able to help with what may be causing this.

    This is what I am putting in:

    Hi Molly,

    Sorry for the slow response, I’ve been away for the past week.

    I don’t think there’s anything wrong with the way you’re using the shortcode, and I’ve tried your GPX on my own test site and it works fine.

    It looks like you’re using other GPX and/or Leaflet map plugins which may be causing a conflict. The one I can see is GPX Viewer. Can you try disabling that/those temporarily to see if that makes things any better?

    Hi Simon, Sorry I have been away aswell!
    I have just disabled the GPS plugin and had a look cant see any other leaflet map plugins.

    Tried doing it again and still no map but still a download GPX button..

    Could it be any of my other plugins?

    Ah, I see what it is now. I think the value for GPX Track Width is blank on your settings page. The plugin should be picking that up and setting a default value.

    Try changing that to 4 on the settings page and see if that fixes it.

    Yay thanks Simon this seems to be working now ??
    The only thing that isn’t showing up is the elevation but I notice this was empty as well on settings so I added a number to it but still doesn’t seem to be loading… sorry for all the questions and thanks for your help

    That one is easier ?? There is no elevation data in your GPX file, only the latitude/longitude points. I’ve never used memory-map so I don’t know what it does. It’s also possible the GPX editor wiped the elevation data. Check the original file if you still have it. It’s plain text so you can view it in Notepad or similar.

    The points in your GPX file look like this:
    <trkpt lat=”54.1489743143″ lon=”-2.2954314992″></trkpt>

    Points from a GPX file with elevation look like this:
    <trkpt lat=”54.43826″ lon=”-2.98305″>
    <ele>72.8</ele>
    </trkpt>

    The <ele> tag gives the height in metres.
