Cannot see dashboard

  • Recently logged into my site to add some content for first time in quite a while. I noticed it was showing some updates so ran them, but now when I try to log in the screen is either blank (on Safari, Firefox) or says “Server error
    The website encountered an error while retrieving https://www.penuelscouts.org.uk/wordpress/wp-admin/. It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly.
    Here are some suggestions:
    Reload this webpage later.
    HTTP Error 500 (Internal Server Error): An unexpected condition was encountered while the server was attempting to fulfill the request.” (on Chrome).

    What have I done wrong, and what can I try to put it right?
