• Hi there, I have chosen to use your plugin over W3TC as it seems to be a lot less weighty. After activation there seems to be no caching taking place. I have opened the page in another browser, cleared browser cache and refreshed a number of times but still no text (at the bottom). I have also checked the cache folder and there are no files being generated in there. These files exist though – wp-content/advanced-cache.php, wp-content/cache/qc-advanced-cache and wp-content/cache/.htaccess – the .htaccess has this code “deny from all”. I wonder if this is the cause?

I have a number of plugins installed:

    Advanced Excerpt
    Akismet
    BulletProof Security
    Select Fast Secure Contact Form
    Google Analytics
    MailPoet Newsletters
    Meta Slider
    Quick Cache
    Simple Login Lockdown
    Simply Show IDs
    WooCommerce
    WooCommerce Video Product Tab
    WooThemes Helper
    WordPress SEO
    WPBakery Visual Composer
    WP Store Locator

I wonder if the BP Security plugin is stopping the Quick Cache from working? Please can someone advise as to what course of action I should now take. Many thanks

I don’t think BulletProof Security is causing the issue, as I’ve seen people run Quick Cache with BulletProof Security with no problems at all.

The plugin that stands out to me is WooCommerce: That plugin will automatically set the DONOTCACHEPAGE constant on any pages where caching might cause issues with WooCommerce (such as a dynamic shopping cart that cannot be cached). Depending on your site configuration, it could be that WooCommerce is setting the DONOCACHEPAGE constant on all of your pages, thereby effectively disabling Quick Cache. On most sites that I’ve seen running WooCommerce, only pages directly related to the shopping cart functionality (e.g., /checkout/, etc.) are excluded from the cache.

Also, keep in mind that Quick Cache does not cache logged-in users by default, so make sure that you’re completely logged out of WordPress before looking for the notes in the HTML source.
