I thought this might be helpful, maybe as an edge case. My save changes button no longer functions with 2.0.2. Chrome on a Mac, both pretty up to date. I’ve worked around it be reinstalling 1.9.5 (I think). Chrome console shows an error like this when loading the page.

uncaught typeerror: cannot set properties of null (setting disabled) @edit.js?ver=5b75992…

    at tp.helpers.options.check_dependencies (edit.js…)

    at tp.helpers.options.load (edit.js….)

    at edit.js…

Since I’ve worked around it, and I can’t upload the screenshot, I was thinking the above stack trace might be useful.

If I think of anything else that might seem helpful, I’ll upload it. Working now any, so all the best. Your plugin is great. Thanks..

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

I had actually hoped that a fix that I had added to TablePress 2.0.1 should have taken care of this ?? It looks like that does not cover all edge cases. Fixing this will need to happen on the site then, as likely some internal “user options” are somehow mixed up. If possible, I’d like to take a direct look at this on your site. Could you therefore please get in touch via email (the address is on https://tablepress.org/impressum/ )? That way, I can investigate this directly. Thanks!

    Regards,
    Tobias

Hi Tobias — I have the same issue on 2.0.3. It works through an Admin account, but it does not work through an Editor account. We use a Roles plugin and have assigned all permissions to the Editor role, yet the tables cannot be saved and this JS error shows up in the console:

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot set properties of null (setting ‘disabled’)
    at tp.helpers.options.check_dependencies (edit.js?ver=b575992d3efd457d3f41:1:2332)
    at tp.helpers.options.load (edit.js?ver=b575992d3efd457d3f41:1:1419)
    at edit.js?ver=b575992d3efd457d3f41:1:34408
    at edit.js?ver=b575992d3efd457d3f41:1:38056

Do you think removing the plugin and rolling back to 1.9.5 would be safe? Nothing will break on tables created with the 2.x version?

    Hi @ivantrendafilov,

sorry to hear that you are affected here as well. Normally, this should have fixed itself when updating, but we’ll have to look into this directly on your site. If possible, I’d like to take a direct look at this on your site. Could you therefore please get in touch via email (the address is on https://tablepress.org/impressum/ )? Rolling back will not help here, as that does not fix the underlying cause.

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Same problem here.

Chrome and Safari on Mac with v.2.0.3. But only with 2.0.3 Premium—the save button is non-responsive. If I enable 2.0.3 free instead, it works as expected.

    Hi @pxlar8,

sorry about that. Can you please go to the “Modules” screen and click the “Save changes” button at the bottom (no actual changes are needed on the page, just clicking the button is enough). This will fix some internal cached parameters, after which saving should work fine again.

    Hi,

this is now also fixed in TablePress 2.0.4, so upgrading will also help ??

    Best wishes,
    Tobias
