I created a child theme of the Storefront theme by Woothemes.

I was trying to learn how everything worked and was tinkering with stuff.

Randomly, the word ‘Array’ has appeared in my footer and I cannot track it down anywhere.

I have deleted and reinstalled the theme, but not only is the Array still there, but all of the settings I have adjusted in the Customizer are still there.

    1) How is it possible than these settings are held over?
    2) How can I finally hard reset my theme and remove the word Array from appearing in the footer?

  • What is the link to your site?

Most theme settings are stored in a database table. That way options are retained when theme files are updated. You can try Googling for an answer, but there doesn’t seem to be a straight-forward way of removing those options, other than going into the MySQL interface (phpMyAdmin) and deleting the rows in the wp_options table which pertain to the theme. If you’re not familiar with directly manipulating data in MySql, I would make a backup of your database first in case you hose something unintentionally.

Thanks for the info Crouching. Turns out the Array being spawned at the bottom of the page was due to a plugin, but still it weirded me out that my settings were saved despite completely deleting and reuploading the theme, thanks for the help.
