Cannot replace images with WPE active

Hello,
I started using WPE and it saves a lot of page load size/time. Great! However on my sites I also use a media management plugin WP Media Folder which has one handy feature: media replacement. I can click on the image, click Replace, select a new image with the same extension and the image is replaced (without having to do this via FTP). Unfortunately this feature does not work when WebP Express is active, since the frontend displays a cached image – so event the actual image is phisically replaced and the file is the new image, the frontend still shows the old image. Disabling the plugin makes the replaced image visible, but activating the plugin back makes the old image show again.
Is there any way to make both work together by modyfying the settings? Because using WPE actually disables the possibility to replace images in any way, other than uploading a new one and placing it again on the front. Which would be sad ??
