    Many, but not all of the images I try to rename fail. It shows the old filename and also the new filename it is recommending and the AUTO button, but when you click it tries to do something but fails. No error is shown.

    I found this in the error log:

    I see only one error related to Media File Renamer in your logs but it doesn’t correspond to what you describe – this error would happen when you select a lot of media entries and choose to rename that selection.

    Your issue happens when you simply click on the Auto Rename button, right? (one by one)

    If yes, can you look at your PHP Error Logs, click on that button, and look again to see what is the exact errors happening at this time?

    If it’s the other one, you might need to disable the alidswoo plugin (AliExpress?).
