I cannot find a way to remove the Sidebar from the Front Page. I’ve searched the forum, and have not found an answer.

Here is the blog – https://www.vintageetsysociety.com

I added text on the front page as a temporary solution, since the Sidebar looked out of place on it’s own.

I have gone to the Content: home, posts, … menu, then the Front Page menu, and have the “Set up the front page layout” set to “No sidebars: full width layout”, but this does NOT turn off that Sidebar.

I have gone through all the option menus, and cannot figure out WHY the Front Page option of a full width is not working.

Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you!

  • Go to Appearance>Widgets>Right Sidebar and then slide the widgets out of the panel.

Thanks for your help rdellconsulting – I sincerely appreciate your time.

I actually need the right sidebar on all the other pages, so couldn’t remove the widgets from there.

I played around with all the customizing options again today, and figured out the problem, and have resolved this issue. It was a matter of all the settings, and by changing them one by one, I isolated the issue.

Again, I really appreciate your offer of help – thank you!

    Cheers!

I removed the sidebar however I cannot make the content use its area. No sidebar but the is an empty area.
