    Hello,

I’ve been using your plugin to tackle a particular heavy media library with thousands of product images that must be sorted into “Product SKU Prefix” folders in order for this site’s images to be in any way manageable.

I have gradually, and very carefully, moved ALL images out of the old default WP folders ( /yyyy/mm/ ), and into new folders, such as:
    /uploads/Products/AA/

Then even run extensive, iterative searches against the back-end WP DB to make sure that there remain absolutely NO references to images or folders in old locations.

Still, there is ONE folder that I just cannot get to delet ( from within your plugin ), each time returning:

“The folder, 06, is not empty. Please delete or move files form the folder.”

But there really are no files in that folder, and I cannot even find any reference in the DB itself to “2015/06”, so I am here hoping you can help me resolve and remove this last vestige folder?

    Thank You in advance,

    XIMBALO

    Hi Ximbalo,

Probably there is an attachment record associated with the folder still in the database even though you moved or deleted the actual file. Can you send me admin access to your site and the name/location of the folder you wish to delete. I’ll talk a look. I may need to figure out a way to remove this record or verify if the files listed in a folder are actually present on the server.

Alan — certainly, and I DO appreciate your taking a look at it.
But unclear on how to send a private response here…?

    Ximbalo,

If you are able to do an export from your database, using PHPMyAdmin, I need you to export the mgmlp_folders table and sent it to my email address, [email protected].

    Thanks,
    Alan

    Hi having the same issue….
even if I create a folder, which never had images in ir. Once it is created I can no longer delete it, even though the folder does not actually exist when I look at my files via ftp.

This is unusual since MLP checks the database to see if the folder contains any files before it can delete it. Well, I’m working on a way to verify what files are actually on the server when compared to what is recorded in the database and hope we can release a new version sometime next week.

    Alan

Thank you that would be great

We have added a fix for this issue that has been released today in version 2.3. There is a new Sync button that allows you to sync the files on the server with the database. Thus, if a file is still present in the folder, you can add it to MLP and then move or delete it. You can also upload files to a folder on the server and then add them to the media library using the sync function.
