    Hi,

We cannot seem to delete ANY backup entries in the plugin no matter what we try.

We have selected all of them and clicked delete, doesn’t work.

We have selected each one individually and clicked delete, doesn’t work.

We have deleted every single file on Dropbox.com and it’s 100% empty and they still appear in your plugin.

We have clicked Rescan local folder for new backup sets and it doesn’t work.

We have clicked Rescan remote storage and it doesn’t work.

We have deleted your plugin entirely and it doesn’t fix the issue.

We have reinstalled your plugin after deleting every single instance of the word ‘updraft’ in the database directly, and it doesn’t work.

Screenshot showing 23 backups that do not exist and cannot be deleted:

    Hi,

Can you wipe out settings? You can find this option in the UpdraftPlus “Advance Tools” tab. This will reset the backup to its original settings and you’ll have to setup the plugin again after reset.

    Thanks,

Hi there, We did that prior to uninstalling, and after reinstalling, all prior backups, were already there. Should we do it a second time?

This button will delete all UpdraftPlus settings and progress information for in-progress backups (but not any of your existing backups from your cloud storage). You will then need to enter all your settings again. You can also do this before deactivating/deinstalling UpdraftPlus if you wish.

    Hi,

Yes, please try again. Also, if you can check using a different browser or using incognito.

    Thanks,

Just did it again. Same result but now much worse; all of the new backups we made to Google Drive after trying to switch from Dropbox now will not delete, so we have all of the Dropbox backups AND now just as many Google Drive backups in addition.

Tried in both Safari & Chrome.

    Backup sets removed: 0
    Local files deleted: 0
    Remote files deleted: 0

Can you go into your site via FTP/file manager and delete any log files that you see?

We completely deleted the entire Updraft folder on the server.

Apologies, I was able to replicate this on my site with Dropbox. This will need to goto our development team

OK, please do, as this is a nightmare on our side.

Apologies for the inconvenience. Fixes like this are normally patched in the next version so it will hopefully not inconvenience you for too long.

    Hi,

Apologies, we have not made the fix yet.

Hi to all, I hope you are well?
I have same problem as above.
I can’t delete in UpdraftPlus Plugin the deletet file on FTP.
Maybe is a FTP protocol issue?

    Rescan doesn’t help.
I hope you found the problem, good luck.
    Kind Regards, Lejla

I have the same problem with a client’s website. Was this resolved?

There are about 20 backups to Dropbox. Only the most recent ones actually have files on Dropbox but I can’t delete the backups from the plugin listing on WordPress, and I think they are taking up space because we’re having some storage shortage messages.

    Thanks.

Nope, never resolved, permanently deleted this plugin and never used it again.

Thinking of doing the same – or delete then reinstall, and only use manual settings for offsite backups.
