Cannot refund via stripe in woocommerce – api error

    Hi
    when I try to do refund via Stripe with woocommerce 4.2.0 : “An error occurred while attempting to create the refund using the payment gateway API.”

    Why can’t I do a refund?
    Paypal refunds work perfectly.

    Live Stripe are entered in WooCommerce > Settings > Payments > Stripe as per https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/stripe/#section-42

    Webhook secret key is also entered.

    Thank you for contacting WooCommerce support. Can you share how the Stripe extension is configured, please? You can verify it is correctly configured using the support documentation on our site:

    I would also recommend updating to the latest version of this Stripe extension. We are only able to provide support for the last three versions of this. So you would at least need to update to version 4.5 in order to continue. I hope this helps! Please let us know if you have any further questions. I hope your week is treating you well.     Actually, it seems that the new orders can be refunded via stripe. And only the orders that were made previous to migration (using WP Staging Pro) can’t be refunded correctly.

    Hey there @louisjj,

    Thanks for those additional details. Due to the complexities that can arise from migrations via plugins, we aren’t able to troubleshoot those API errors. Our best suggestion moving forward would be to refund those customers directly from the Stripe dashboard and also do a manual refund for the order in WooCommerce.
