Basically, when installing WordPress, whether it be a fresh install or a backup I always get an error when getting to step=2 on the install Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class Walker_Page in /home/**/public_html/files/wordpress/wp-includes/post-template.php on line 974

I’ve re-downloaded fresh files, re-uploaded fresh files and still keep getting the same problem, I’ve CHMOD’d my files to 777 also to check if that’s the problem and I’m still receiving the same error

  • Delete the directory public_html/files/wordpress

Download a fresh copy of WordPress and move it into public_html/files/

Is it possible your previous uploads were putting the new wordpress files into public_html_files/wordpress/wordpress ?

In any cause, a fresh copy of WP will fix this, so long as you have the server set up to point to the right places. Hope that helps, let us know if you need more help.

Did a DNS Cache clear and restarted Apache to find out that it’s sorted.

    Thanks for your response!
