• Please help. I was using a ithemes billboard plugin. Then all of the sudden I received this error message.
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare classwp_widget in /homepages/20/d249542807/htdocs/htdocs/blog/bottomlineclothing/wp-admin/includes/widgets.php on line 24

I tryed reloading the original widgets.php file but that doesn’t work.
Is there anything I can do?

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?

I tried deactivating all plugins. It still gives me that error.Switch themes and it still gives me the same error.

Try resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin. Use the phpMyAdmin method if you can. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

I tryed resetting the plugins folder but that didn’t work. The error says widgets.php on line 24. I’m know it must be something in that code that I must change but I don’t know what to change it to.

Try re-uploading the wp-includes folder from a fresh download of WordPress.
