    Hello,

I had this sight connected to WordFence Central and one day it, along with one other website showed up in my “Connection Issues” list. I tried to re-connect both sites. Neither site would re-connect. I then disconnected both sites.

I then tried to “Add Website” to Wordfence Central. The other site was eventually added back into central. However this website neither offers the “Connect Wordfence Central” link from the dashboard, not can I add the site to Wordfence Central using the “Add New Site” button in Wordfence Central.

I deactivated and deleted the Wordfence plugin from the website and then re-installed and activated the plugin. I then installed the license that I was originally issued and had used for this website. Still cannot connect this website to Wordfence Central

Not sure what to do at this point to get this website connected to Wordfence Central. Please assist or advise as to what to do!

    Sincerely,

    Larry A. Coates

    Hi @larryacoates

The WordPress REST API endpoint for our plugin returns a web server 404 Not Found response page:

    example[.]com/wp-json/wordfence/v1

And even a web server 404 Not Found response page for the main endpoint for WordPress:

    example[.]com/wp-json/wp/v2

This will need to be fixed so that Wordfence Central can communicate with our plugin on your site.

    Phil,

I do not understand… NONE of my websites have a wp-jason folder under them and all of the other nine websites are connected to the Wordfence Central website. Why does this site need those folders, and what should the have for contents?

    Hi @larryacoates

There isn’t a directory in WordPress called “wp-json”.

If you don’t know why the WordPress REST API for this site is broken then I recommend that you ask WordPress staff for help below:
