Just got this error message when trying to scan

    “Cannot read profiles directory”

I just ssh’ed into my ubuntu box and did a locate profiles and there doesn’t seem to be a profiles directory. Did your plugin fail to create it and then silently continue the install?

    thanks

    Hi Nick,

Do you have a wp-content/uploads/profiles folder?

    Are there any files inside?

Is it writeable (same permissions as other folders in your uploads folder) ?

    Hey Kurt

No, there is not. As I said above, I ran “locate profiles” from the command line and did not find any directory by that name. I am suspecting that the install silently failed to create that directory (because of permissions).

I just don’t have time to go look at their sourcecode to confirm that.

I suggest confirming that the uploads folder is writable by the web server and re-installing and re-activating the plugin.

    Hello nicolasfox,

    Did my reply help?

i am solving this problem by manually make the profile folder under xxx/wp-content/uploads/profiles

and then give full permission chmod 777 xxx/wp-content/uploads/profiles

same for me, I just change the permission of the profiles folder and everything works.
    Thanks
