    Hello to everybody!
i’m new in WordPress world, and I did a mistake I’m not able to solve!
I changed the domain address in the control panel removing the “.it” to my address, but when I tried to add it again WP did’t kept my change and now I connot login anymore because it says the address is not correct!(of course, it is missing the .it part!).
I already removed wordpress and tried to reupload it (hoping to remove what I did till now), but it doesn’t work…I write the address correctly (https://www.officinadelleimmagini.it/wp-login.php), but after having insert my user and psw, it changes the address in https://www.officinadelleimmagini/wp-login.php and shows the message the address is not correct…
How can I change that field again?
thanks in advance if anyone can help…

  • Ciao Marco, the problem is that your website’s URL is incorrect in your settings. There are two ways to resolve this:

Easy: (Only if this is a NEW website) Delete and reinstall WordPress making sure to enter the correct address in all of the fields. You will lose all changes, so don’t do this if this is a website with content.

Medium: You will need to open your website’s database in phpMyAdmin, open the database table called wp_options, and update all instances of the incorrect URL with the correct one.

Also note that Google has your website flagged as hosting malware! Chrome prevented me from opening your site.

Grazie acchiappaprezzo, I already tried the first way, but it seems WP remember the settings I put in the control panel, where there is the incorrect domain…
I’ll try again as I’m not sure I’m able to follow the second solution!

thanks for the advise about the malware, I already removed it from the old site and asked Google to check again my domain and remove the flag…in the meantime I’m trying to prepare the new website!

edit:tying to reinstall it says that WP is already intalled, to reinstall it I have to remove the tables in the database…ok, where are those tables?!which files should I remove from the server?

In your web host’s control panel, find phpMyAdmin (if you’re using Aruba, you can find it searching Google for Aruba phpmyadmin). Then open up the wordpress database used for your website and delete all of the tables/rows.

If all else fails, delete the entire database and create a new one.

solved in this way:I opened mysql database (in my case mysql.aruba.it)and remove everything there, then I uploaded WP again in my domain via FTP and do the procedure to install from the beginning!
