You most likely have some surplus whitespace in wp-config – either before the opening <?php or after the closing ?>.

The word press is ok… But when try to login i get an error… Im using the username and random password…. Can some one help me?

there must be problems in incording.

1. Open up wp-config.php file

2. incording wp-config.php file to ANSI incording.

3. Save wp-config.php file

To ~lbessant and “guru” . Have the same problem. Installation OK, MySQL tables OK, wp-login does not pass. Log analysis shows the crap like n4c stated above. wp-config is OK, its ANSI, php tags OK, no spaces.
What happened? By the way I installed WP on the same server 50 days ago – there were no problems. Server configuration did not changed. May be distribution is guilty?

Ive got a similar problem, but a slight variation of the theme, and yes, I’ve tried the codex suggestions and still same message. The message has only occured after I changed hosts (no problems on the last one) and is as follows:

I can post but after posting the admin interface freezes and I get an additional line to the error

The problem is in wp-config.php on line 27.

I thought this is what it said but couldn’t work it out because there was no line 27, then it dawned on me….whitespace after the>, indeed 4 lines of it.

I came across this same problem. In my case, I had accidentally uploaded all the WordPress files as BINARY, instead of ANSI/ASCII. This just messes everything up. I switched my FTP program to “AUTO” (which will use ASCII for text-based files, like php, and use BINARY for images).

After I did this, the errors went away and I lived happily ever after.

I have the same problem but trying to install wordpress (on step 1 this comes out

This solved my problem. Tx. Word of caution though… tools like Adobe GoLive likes to stick meta tags (encoding info etc) at the top of the PHP files. Make sure u switch such automated ‘stupidity’ ?? OFF!
