Cannot make permalinks work on a re-seller account

  • Hi. I have made a few wordpress sites, but have now moved on to have a Platinum account over at Zen. This allows me to host 6 additional sites.

    I have made an addon domain and also registered a domain name and ensure the A record is pointing to the correct place.

    eg: https://www.teessidekungfu.co.uk

    This site is sitting on my server in the following folder:
    https://www.c3041437.myzen.co.uk/www.teessidekungfu.co.uk

    I have been into the main settings area and changed the site URL and site directory so that when you go to https://www.teessidekungfu.co.uk you actually get to the site, without the full directory structure being visible to you.

    The issue is that I must not have done this correctly, as as soon as I use any permalinks on the site (namly the %postname% one ) none of my images will load ??

    Could someone please be kind enough to suggest where I may be going wrong?

    I know that if I leave the site URL and directory URL as:
    https://www.c3041437.myzen.co.uk/www.teessidekungfu.co.uk

    and then enable permalinks everything works just fine….so…hmm…

    Looks like I may have solved this one.

    I took a look at my .htaccess file and did not like what I saw. I renamed it and made the site recreate a new one, now all works fine. I wish I had thought of doing that many many hours ago!!
