Cannot make changes

  • For the past few weeks, the following error has been given everytime I try to upload or update something on the website.

    “Untitled-1.jpg” has failed to upload due to an error
    Unable to create directory wp-content/uploads/2014/05.

    If the update is text, everything is ok, but if the update is regarding plugins or I try to upload files or images, the above error occurs.

    We have change nothing in particular and this error started cropping up, overnight.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Hey mrcMostaboys!

    Sorry you’re having this problem!

    With almost 100% certainty I can say your server does not have write permissions to the uploads directory or a subsequent directory.

    Who is your host and/or what is your server configuration?

    I always use the wordpress control panel for uploading of media. The domain was purchased from NIC malta. The hosting, I believe was purchased from goDaddy

    Anyone can offer any help cause this problem is driving me crazy!!

    As Casey Drsicoll has suggested, have you checked your read/write permissions on the uploads directory??
