Cannot logout guest user

    I’m testing idea push by creating new ideas with new users in incognito/private window mode.

    Up till now I was able to logout of wordpress and then keep testing by creating more new users. (Since the last update?) I can’t seem to logout the guest idea-push user.
    I try to logout from wordpress. It seems to logout from wordpress, but no matter what, when I go back to the ideapush page I see the same user for submitting an idea.

    How can I logout a user completely, so I get to register a new user?
    (I’m pretty sure I was able to do this before)

    Notes:
    1. I have guest votes enabled.
    2. I have created a password for the user from the admin panel.

    Hi @kaizerco,

    If you create a new user using IdeaPush and then you try and create a new user through IdeaPush it won’t let you because it will detect the IP Address and it will be the same user. We do this to prevent vote rigging – this has been the case since version 1. I am currently exploring ways to have a setting to turn this on or off for pro users. Thanks,

    Just saw you added the ‘Enable multiple IPs’ setting. Seems to be working good!

    I don’t know if this is a good idea, but what if in addition to enabling multiple IPs for everyone, have the option to enable multiple IPs per user. That way if a guest user has issues logging in, he would contact support, I would then go to the user’s profile page and update it so he can login from another computer.

    That way I could still prevent the vote rigging, and in special cases help the honest users that want to contribute from other IPs.

    A lot of my user base would probably (and hopefully :)) want to access idea push from their work computer, home computer and their phone…
